possui graduação em Letras pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1996) e mestrado em Ingles (TESOL) pela Universidade Estadual da California, Hayward (1999). Possui Ph. D em Educação pela Universidadee Estadual da California, Davis (2006) e atualmente atua como professora assistente na Universidade de Purdue, Indiana, EUA. Tem experiência na área de Letras, com ênfase em Ensino-aprendizagem de Inglês Segunda Língua, e especialização nos seguintes temas: estudo de currículo, formação de professores e gramática funcional. Atua há 15 anos na área de educação superior, ensino fundamental e médio, além de contextos de ensino de língua estrangeira lingustica e culturalmente diversos. TParticipa eletiva e voluntariamente de diferentes organizações profissionais, tais como TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages), INTESOL (Indiana TESOL), e CATESOL (California TESOL).
