A Sociology of the Transnational Constitution, Descrição: 2013-2017: I am currently PI and sole award holder for Advanced Investigator Grant from the European Research Council. The grant funds a project with the title: A Sociology of the Transnational Constitution. The grant is for circa 1,400,000 EUROS. Global Justice, Descrição: From 2011-2013 I was mentor and designed co-investigator for a postdoctoral fellowship, funded by the British Academy (circa 250,000), on Global Justice . From 2001 2004 my colleague, Dr (now Prof.) Jan Palmowski, and I, as co-director, received research funding of 254K from the AHRB to run a three-year research project on constitutional history and theory in twentieth-century Germany. This project was entitled: Constituting the German Nation, and it acted as a unique forum in the UK for focusing research on issues of constitutional history and theory in Germany, and for analysing the intellectual origins and the political consequences of the different German constitutions (principally the Civil Code of 1900, the Weimar Constitution of 1919, and the Basic Law of 1949). The second report received (December 2003) contained the following comments: The peer reviewers noted that the project has already produced a number of published works and commented that the quality of the scholars involved and the value of their work in print is high. They considered that important questions had been addressed and new approaches advanced. The final report (March 2006) reviewed the outcomes of the project favourably. It stated that the project had opened up new areas of research and produced a great deal of published research.
