Alain DUFRESNE

Pioneiro mundial na investigação de nanoceluloses há trinta anos, o Professor Alain Dufresne desenvolveu ao longo da sua carreira sólida experiência na implementação e caracterização de nanocompósitos poliméricos reforçados com nanopartículas extraídas de recursos renováveis (biomassa, resíduos agrícolas) graças ao seu trabalho realizado no âmbito do LGP2 - Laboratório de Engenharia de Processos para Biorrefinaria, Materiais de Origem Biológica e Impressão Funcional.Pelo sexto ano consecutivo, o Web of Science Group, uma empresa da Clarivate Analytics, cita-o na sua lista Highly Cited Companies 2023 entre 139 investigadores franceses identificados, todas as áreas combinadas. Publicada anualmente, esta lista identifica pesquisadores que produziram vários artigos classificados no Top 1 em termos de citações em sua área, demonstrando influência significativa da pesquisa entre seus pares.Pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, o investigador é também referenciado no ranking publicado pela Universidade de Stanford que identifica os 2 dos investigadores mais citados no mundo na sua disciplina. Considerado o mais prestigiado do mundo, este ranking é baseado em informações bibliométricas contidas na base de dados Scopus.Entre os 6.522 pesquisadores franceses identificados, somadas todas as áreas, Alain Dufresne ocupa o 18 lugar. Na área Polímeros em 2023, ocupa o 2 lugar a nível europeu (1 em 2020 e 2022) e o 9 a nível global (9 em 2020, 8 em 2021 e 10 em 2022).Professor do Grenoble INP - Pagora, UGA desde 2003, Alain Dufresne conduz suas pesquisas na equipe de materiais de origem biológica multiescala (MatBio) do LGP2.
