Carolina Mallab Alkmin
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Carolina Mallab Alkmin, I am from Brazil and it is where I have been living for the last year. I completed my university studies in Brazil (Federal University of Minas Gerais) with a one year internship at University of Valencia (Spain). I obtained a first-class degree in Chemical Engineering. Whilst studying I worked for one year with a gas company and 3 years with an alternative energy companies.
After graduation I joined Schlumberger - an oilfield services company, in October 2010 working in Stavanger - Norway for 4 years. I started as Field Engineer and in June 2013 to October 2014 I was promoted to Project Engineer, responsible for complex completion operations in the Norwegian Sector of the North Sea. From October 2014 I was transferred to Brazil working as Technical Sales Engineer responsible for Completions Business for all clients. I have also attended several courses through Schlumberger developing my knowledge in Completion, Reservoir Engineering and Finance.
During these 5 years in the oil and gas industry I have mostly focus in Completions design and tools, having several technical knowledge gaps of the overall business. The Petroleum Engineer Master Program from Heriot-Watt is a high recognized course worldwide and covers all the topics I would like to learn to expand my knowledge of the global system.
I would be honored to make part of this program in 2016. I am curious and stimulated by learning. This Master?s Degree will be very beneficial for my career and job opportunities and I am sure that I can also contribute to life at ISPG! I would welcome the chance to speak to anybody about my potential enrollment or and questions you may have.
