Jonas Furtado Dias

Graduado em Engenharia da Computação e Informação pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2009), Mestre (2011) e Doutor (2013) pelo Programa de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computação no Instituto Alberto Luiz Coimbra de Pós Graduação e Pesquisa em Engenharia - COPPE/UFRJ (2011). Orientado pela Professora Marta Mattoso e co-orientado pelo professor Patrick Valduriez no doutorado, atuou principalmente na área de ciência em larga escala, workflows científicos e computação de alto desempenho. Atualmente é cientista de dados no centro de pesquisa da Dell EMC, no Rio de Janeiro, atuando principalmente na área de gerenciamento e processamento de dados em larga escala (big data) e aprendizado de máquina para diferentes setores da indústria. Desenvolveu diferentes projetos de pesquisa na área de óleo & gas e no gerenciamento da execução paralela de workflows em nuvens de computadores. Participou de projetos de consultoria para empresas do setor de transporte e entretenimento. Depositou 11 patentes no escritório americano de patentes.
