Elisa Thomé Sena

Possui bacharelado, mestrado e doutorado em Física pela Universidade de São Paulo. Realizou pós-doutorados na área de física atmosférica pela Universidade de São Paulo e pela NOAA-ESRL (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration - Earth System Research Laboratory). Atualmente é professora adjunta da Universidade Federal de São Paulo. Tem experiência na análise de medidas observacionais de longo prazo, obtidas por sensoriamento remoto por satélite e em solo, para investigar o impacto de partículas de aerossol, superfície e nuvens no balanço radiativo terrestre. Dentre seus principais interesses científicos destaca-se o estudo das alterações antrópicas, decorrentes do desflorestamento e das queimadas na Amazônia, e suas implicações para o clima global. É pesquisadora dos seguintes grupos de pesquisa cadastrados no CNPq: INCLINE (Interdisciplinary Climate Investigation Center) e Padrões e processos em meio ambiente, da Universidade Federal de São Paulo.
