  Leinster Pegmatites: Textural Relationships and Garnets Chemical Composition, Descrição: Textural relationships reveal up to three different magmatic pulses and define a trend for internal zoning of the pegmatites, with Aclare usually having well defined wall rock, intermediate and replacement zones (which in fact coexist in the analysed thin sections). Monaughrim, on the other hand has a less pronounced zoning, which may be explained by differences between the chemistry of the garnets in both places. Spessartine:almandine ratios differ from Aclare to Monaughrim, with the former having Mn>Fe and the latter Fe>Mn, which presents 4 possibilities to explain the pegmatite's origin: 1. Both Aclare and Monaughrim were generated by partial melting of a pelitic rock, with the former being more evolved (formed at a shallower depth) than the latter. 2. Aclare is of magmatic origin and Monaughrim is of a mixed magmatic/partial melting origin. 3. Both are magmatic, but Aclare is more evolved. 4.
