Johannes Schrüfer

Graduation at Base Studies in Engineering & Economics from Technische Universität Ilmenau (Thuringia) (2005) and graduation at Energy technology & (International) Management from Technische Universität Dresden (Saxonia) (2009) having experienced internships in the industrial development & research in the automotive branch. After his diploma thesis on an "Economic Evaluation of a OVR solar tower plant in Algeria from an Algerian-German Perspective", he has gained experience in Production Engineering and Economic Engineering with a focus on integrated solar systems using solar thermal electricity generation including thermal energy storage (STE/CSP) and photovoltaic electricity generation technology for the supply of heat and / or power base load cases (24/7) in the global sunbelt. Doing this experiences have been gained in the assessment of the deplyoment of solar technologies at international level, e. g. , Brazil, EU, North Africa, Jordan, China, USA, Australia. Expertise is typically requested by research and development organizations, governmental institutions as well as power and financial industry.

    ProfSim, Descrição: Professional Simulation of Solar Tower Systems: The objective has been the generation of one integrated software platform for the design and technical and financial evaluation of solar tower power plant projects. The considered technolgies have been based on Open Volumetric Receiver (OVR) and Molten Salt Receiver technology respecting thermal energy storage and hybridization based on fossil fuel fired power plant components such as auxiliary burner or gas turbines. Furthermore an integration of a Raytracer has been also considered at technical level, as well as time-of-day delivery at commercial level.
