Dear Sir,
Combining sound commercial practices with a well-planned operational strategy is, in my concept, the competitive edge that will set the truly successful companies apart. Selling well means delivering well, and vice-versa. Aligned with this philosophy, I have steered my professional career in this direction per the following highlights:
I graduated in Engineering from the Catholic University in Campinas ? PUC, undertook a postgraduate courses - CEAG in Business Administration at FGV ? Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo (FGV/SP) and at the Chapman University of California and received my M.Sc. in Maritime Economics and Logistics from Erasmus University ? the Rotterdam School of Management ? Netherlands (Thesis ?Analyze of the current distribution characteristics VS Potential opportunities to P&O Nedlloyd in United Kingdom?) and finished MBA program at FIA, Sao Paulo.
Three Brazilian dailies published an article of mine entitled ?Tendencies of Maritime Transport?, which received wide acclaim.
My career includes stints in companies such as: Schahin Group (Engineer); TIM (Project Engineer - Logistics); P&O Nedlloyd (Procurement and Strategic Operations Engineer) São Paulol and Rotterdam/NL; CSN/ Sepetiba Tecon (Commercial Manager); New Business Development for CMA CGM Group; Technical Head of the Brazilian National Master Plan for Ports and Logistics (PNLP) - UFSC/SEP-PR; New Business Development for Ecorodovias Gourp and, currently I am Skaf Trade Logistics Director.
Personally, I am 42 yo, hold EU and Brazilian passports, am an avid sportsman (soccer, swimming, karate and running having run the Rotterdam Marathon in under 4 hours). I was the University chess champion for 2 consecutive years and have taken active part in a number of community volunteer projects.
I take pride in my extracurricular activities which help to leverage my networking capabilities and exposure, namely, Infrastructure Director at FIESP ? Confederation of Industries of São Paulo, Director/Co-founder at the Forum of Young Entrepreneurs (CJE/FIESP), President/Co-founder of the Student Council and of the Engineering School at PUC Campinas.
The coherence of my technical background and my personal qualifications in team management, strategic planning and commercial skills are differentiating factors which I bring to the table for our mutual benefit.
