Andrea Desiderato

I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Lodz. After a graduation at Scienze della Natura from Università degli Studi di Bari (2013), master's at Biologia Marina from Università di Bologna (2015) and doctorate at Programa de Pos-Graduaçao em Zoologia from Universidade Federal do Paraná (2020). I usually work with community ecology of estuarine and marine macrobenthos, taxonomy and evolution of amphipods, and more broadly aquatic bioinvasion. I'm now leading a project on Mediterranean temporary ponds aiming to study their regional connectivity and forecast the impact of climate change on them. I like to complement and integrate different techniques from microscopy to molecular with special attention to the experimental design and analyses of the data.
