Jaime Hernan Sanchez Ilabaca

Jaime Sánchez has been a University Instructor at the Catholic University of Chile (1979-1982), Adjunct Lecturer at the City University of New York (1984), Associate Professor at the Antofagasta University - Chile (1988-1993), Full Professor at the Arturo Prat University-Chile (1985-1988). Professor Sánchez was the founder of the first Informatics and Education Center in Chile at the University of Antofagasta (1988). He was also the founder and the actual Director of the Center of Computing and Communication for the Construction of Knowledge (C5) in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chile (1995-2016). He was the Director of the University of Chile branch of the Enlaces Network (1995-2013). This network is the long-term national initiative on Informatics and Education. He was also Director of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chile (2005-2006). He was Assistant Professor (1994-1997), Associate Professor (1998-2009) and currently he is Professor of Human-Computer Interaction in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chile (since 2010). Most recently, he has been appointed as Adjunct Full Professor at Columbia University, Graduate School of Education, Teachers College, New York, USA (2007-2016).
