  Influence of growth reference data source on the determination of growth trajectories in multi-ethnic children and adolescents, Descrição: Monitoring the development of children and adolescents is an important way to recognize and identify possible health and nutritional risks. However, the existence of several growth charts proposed by different institutions makes difficult to recommend one reference for international use. The present study aims to compare the growth trajectory of children and adolescents from multiethnic population according to the growth charts proposed by the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), International Obesity Task Force (IOTF) and using the growth channel, in order to evaluate the most accurate reference for international use. Anthropometric and demographic variables of children and adolescents will be obtained from the longitudinal studies: Young Lives (Ethiopia, India, Peru, Vietnam), Millennium Cohort Study (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), Adolescent Nutritional Assessment Longitudinal Study (Brazil), Generation 21 (Portugal), Epidemiological Health Investigation of Teenagers in Porto (Portugal) and Children?s Healthy Living Program for Remote Underserved Minority Populations in the Pacific Region (remote Pacific states and other jurisdictions of the US). Height-for-age and BMI-for-age reference values of the sample denominated as MULT reference will be calculated though the Cole?s LMS method and the Generalized Additive Models for Location Scale and Shape (GAMLSS). The growth trajectory based on the 50th percentile (M curve) and the coefficient of variation based on the S curve will be described to compare the growth curves of the CDC, WHO, IOTF and MULT. Lin's concordance correlation coefficient (CCC) and Cohen's kappa coefficient (K) will be applied to verify the agreement between the height-for-age and BMI-for-age z-scores and between the participants nutritional status. On the other hand, for the analysis of the growth channel, the relative risk (RR) of being stunting and/or overweight in adolescence will be calculated through logistic regression. We will test it for three amplitude values (0.67, 0.75, 0.86) and the estimates will be adjusted for ethnicity, sex and socioeconomic status.   Efficiency of the growth charts to assess nutritional status of children and adolescents, Descrição: Monitoring the development of children and adolescents is an important way to recognize and identify possible health and nutrition risks. However, there are several growth charts proposed by different institutions, which makes it difficult to recommend an international curve. The present study aims to compare the evaluation of nutritional status of children and adolescents of longitudinal studies according to the different curves proposed. Anthropometric variables of children and adolescents will be obtained from public databases surveys: Young Lives (Ethiopia, India, Peru, Vietnam), Millennium Cohort Study, (England, Scotland and Wales) and from the private databases of ELANA (Brazil), Generation XXI and EPITeen (Portugal). Nutrition status classifications will be performed according to the cut-off points for age and sex proposed by CDC (2000), WHO (2006/2007), and OTF (2012). The Bland Altman graph will be used to construct concordance profiles between the reference curves, using the values of the body mass index.   Acuity of nutritional status based on body mass index or body composition among children under 20 years and among adults, Descrição: Introduction: Monitoring the development of children and adolescents is a way to recognize and identify possible health and nutrition risks and to predict it in adult life. The availability of several growth charts proposed by various institutions and modelled using data from different populations makes it difficult to adopt one to use internationally. Objective: To compare the assessment of the nutritional status of children and adolescents from multi-ethnic groups according to the different growth charts proposed and using the channelling of growth.   Nutricare App para avaliação Nutricional, Descrição: Criação do aplicativo Nutricare, com base no MIT app inventor 2 e linguagem AIA para Android, que permita ao usuário novas experiências e informações qualitativamente confiáveis que cubram diferentes áreas da análise do estado nutricional.   Nutricare application for nutritional self-assessment and self-identification of risks at critical stages of the life cycle, Descrição: Nutricare is an application to assess nutritional status of the population.We are developing this App based on the MIT app inventor 2 and AIA language for Android. It will which allows the user new experiences and qualitatively reliable information that cover different areas of nutritional status analysis. Our most relevant objectives are: to disseminate nutritional assessment processes; Empowering the users to analyze and comprehensively understand their nutritional status and risk factors in health; promote the entrepreneurship of undergraduate students in articulation with the social section of Public Health. Basically, the App will have ten screens: One for registration and another one for the final screen with credits of the team. The child, adolescent, adult and pregnant cycles will have two screens each, one to introduce the values (anthropometric, body composition or others) and another for the results. The data set used by the App will be saved, anonymized, in the USP cloud in the LANPOP area. For children and adolescents, the App will offer nutritional assessment and risk assessment according to various parameters based on the most traditional reference values available (WHO, Health Ministry, IOTF, among others). For adults and pregnant women, the App will use the values of WHO and Health Ministry as the references.The tool can be used by the general population, clinical and health professionals through of a free registration, once the team will develop tutorials for its use.
