Alexandre Gomes de Barros

possui graduação em Engenharia Civil pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1991), mestrado em Pesquisa Operacional e Transportes pelo Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (1994) e doutorado em Engenharia de Transportes pela Universidade de Calgary, Canadá (2001). Foi Diretor de Infraestrutura Aeroportuária da Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) de 2008 a 2010, onde contribuiu de forma significativa para a re-estruturação do sistema de aviação civil brasileiro. Atualmente é Professor Associado de Engenharia de Transportes na Universidade de Calgary, Canadá. É também membro do conselho editorial do Journal of Advanced Transportation. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia de Transportes, com ênfase em Aeroportos e Transporte Aéreo, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: planejamento e projeto de aeroportos; planejamento de sistemas de transporte aéreo; sistemas de transporte inteligentes. Atuou em vários projetos aeroportuários internacionais, incluindo Toronto/Pearson, Montreal/Trudeau, Atlanta, Nova York/JFK, Seattle/Tacoma, Boston/Logan, Leeds (Grã-Bretanha), Hong Kong e Seul/Incheon (Coréia do Sul).
