Undergraduate studies of Landscape Ecology at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (1996-2003). Master of Science on "Modelling of organic matter and nutrient dynamics of grassland in southwest Germany" from University of Münster (2002-2003). PhD in Biology at University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart (2004-2007). Thesis topic: Contributions of roots, rhizodeposits, and soil organic matter to CO2 efflux from maize rhizosphere as revealed by 13C and 14C tracer methods. Currently is research associate in the Institute of Systematic Botany and Ecology at the University of Ulm, member of Deutsche Bodenkundliche Gesellschaft. Has experience in Botany, with emphasis in Applied Botany in soil, in microbial biomass, stable isotopes, Chloroform Fumigation-Extraction to determine the microbial biomass in the rhizosphere of plants on wet soils.
