  Diagnóstico por simulação computacional e levantamento in loco do desempenho térmico e energético do estoque habitacional de uma cidade de médio porte na zona climática 1 da NBR5220, Descrição: O planejamento de ações para a melhoria do desempenho do parque edificado requer um diagnóstico detalhado da atual condição das edificações. Quase 15 anos se passaram desde a promulgação da Lei da Eficiência Energética (Lei n 10.295/2001), contudo ainda não existe um panorama do real desempenho térmico e energético do parque edificado brasileiro. Este projeto, em colaboração com a Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), tem por objetivo testar e aprimorar tecnologia, atualmente em desenvolvimento, para o diagnóstico rápido e confiável do estoque habitacional de cidades de médio porte. Tal tecnologia não foi aplicada na Zona 1 da NBR 15220, a qual apresenta diversas particularidades devido a real necessidade de aquecimento dos ambientes em parte significativa do ano. O método é baseado em levantamento in loco por amostragem, análise de imagens de satélite e uso intensivo de simulação do desempenho térmico do edifício. Resultados esperados incluem: (1) um conjunto de modelos de habitação representativos do estoque habitacional do município, (2) etiqueta de eficiência energética para cada modelo segundo o Programa Brasileiro de Etiquetagem (PBE), (3) mapa do município com porcentagens de edificações que obteriam etiquetas A a E segundo o PBE, (4) avaliação preliminar de soluções promissoras para melhoria do desempenho das diversas habitações do estoque habitacional.   No conforto do lar: o uso de simulações de desempenho do edifício para balizar inovações tecnológicas destinadas a aumentar o nível de conforto térmico em residências brasileiras, Descrição: Projeto desenvolvido dentro do programa de atração de jovens talentos da CAPES; Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo desenvolver e aplicar uma abordagem sistêmica para o uso de simulações computacionais no desenvolvimento e disseminação de soluções inovadoras destinadas a melhoria do desempenho térmico de habitações brasileiras, visando habitações efetivamente confortáveis ao longo de todo o ano. Para tanto, a pesquisa define três grandes metas a serem atingidas: META UM, desenvolvimento de um banco de modelos computacionais representando o estoque habitacional brasileiro; META DOIS, panorama das soluções correntes e da percepção dos principais atores na cadeia da construção em relação às inovações no condicionamento térmico de habitações; META TRÊS, avaliação de desempenho por meio de simulação computacional de soluções promissoras.
