Possui doutorado em Geociências pela Goethe Universität Frankfurt (Alemanha). Atua na área de Paleobotânica e Palinologia, com interesse especial pelas floras do norte do Gondwana. Atualmente é Professor Assistente (Paleobotânica e Palinologia) da Mansoura University (Egito). Tem experiência na área de Geociências, com ênfase em Paleontologia Estratigráfica, Palinologia e Paleobotânica. Integrante da Instituição Alexander von Humboldt. Integrante da Organização DAAD.
