Speed and acceleration in the internationalization process of the firm, Descrição: One of the hottest topics in internationalization research is speed and acceleration of international expansion. In this project a questionnaire has been developed in order to analyze these concepts and their antecedents and outcomes. Rising powers, labour standards and the governance of global value chains, Descrição: A economia global está sendo transformada pelos chamados Rising Powers (RP), especificamente China, Índia e Brasil. Um aspecto desta transformação é como essas economias estão engajadas e também estão definindo as regras que governam o comércio internacional e a produção mundial, em específico os padrões sociais e de trabalho. Para os países em desenvolvimento atender os padrões internacionais ainda é um fator crítico. A expansão do comércio entre os países RP, o crescimento do Mercado doméstico destes países e o surgimento de empresas líderes da China, Índia e Brasil faz surgir questões relacionadas a como os padrões globais serão definidos no futuro, quem serão os principais "drivers" e as implicações para os trabalhadores dos países RP e da economia global. Este projeto é financiado pela UK's Economic and Social Research Council e envolve um estudo comparativo de grandes empresas e aglomerações de pequenas empresas do Brasil, da China e da Índia, bem como organizações da sociedade civil e dos governos. A pesquisa será feita utilizando fontes primárias e secundárias, incluindo dados qualitativos e quantitativos. O projeto está baseado na Universidade de Manchester, Reino Unido, mas conta com pesquisadores colaboradores no Brasil, China e Índia. Estudo dos requisitos da norma NBR 14354 relacionando-os com a segurança veicular na frenagem de veículos comerciais em pavimentos com média e baixa aderência, Descrição: Os sistemas de freios de veículos comerciais e, particularmente, a frenagem de emergência em pavimentos com média e baixa aderência, são, na legislação brasileira, regulamentados pela NBR 14354 que tem seu texto baseado nas diretrizes do Anexo 10 da ECE R13. Este trabalho apresenta a importância do cumpriemtno de tais requisitos mínimos para a garantia da segurança veicular no que tange à perda de estabilidade e controle direcional, com consequente redução da probabilidade de acidentes.
