BRAID, Descrição: BRAID Bridging Research in Ageing and ICT Development. Bridging Research in Ageing and ICT Development (BRAID) is an
EU FP7 Support Action funded within the specific programme "Cooperation" and the research theme "ICT" of the 7th European Framework Programme (Objective ICT-2009.7.1 ICT & Ageing). This project started in Mar of 2010 and will last until Mar of 2012. BRAID aims to develop a comprehensive Research and Technological Development (RTD) roadmap for active ageing by consolidating existing roadmaps and by describing and launching a stakeholder co-ordination and consultation mechanism. The project will characterise key research challenges and produce a vision for a comprehensive approach in supporting the well-being and socio-economic integration of increasing numbers of senior citizens in Europe. http://www.braidproject.eu. , Situação: Em andamento; Natureza: Pesquisa. , Integrantes: Joao Rosas - Coordenador / Luis Camarinha-Matos - Integrante., Financiador(es): European Commission - Auxílio financeiro.

EPAL, Descrição: EPAL - Extending Professional Active Life. The primary objective of Project ePAL is to consider and define new ways of promoting a balanced active life for retiring and retired professionals in Europe. ePAL will develop a roadmap - a set of actions, activities and steps - that will assist in placing Europe at the forefront of active aging globally and move us towards realising a more positive future for Europe's elderly population. Project ePAL is funded by the European Commission as part of the 7th Framework Programme. The project is coordinated by Uninova, a non-profit University-Enterprise Association based in Lisbon, Portugal. The other key partners are the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Skill Estrategia, a consultancy based in Sevilla, Spain, White Loop Ltd, a consultancy from London, UK and SECOT, an association consisting of retired executives offering management and development services to companies across Spain and based in Madrid.. , Situação: Concluído; Natureza: Pesquisa. , Integrantes: Joao Rosas - Coordenador / Luis Camarinha-Matos - Integrante., Financiador(es): European Commission - Auxílio financeiro.

ECOLEAD, Descrição: ECOLEAD - European Collaborative Networked Organizations Leadership Initiative. European Collaborative networked Organisations LEADership initiative, ECOLEAD, aims to create strong foundations and mechanisms needed to establish the most advanced collaborative and network-based industry society in Europe: "In ten years most enterprises will be part of some sustainable collaborative networks that will act as breeding environments for the formation of dynamic virtual organizations in response to fast changing market conditions. The fundamental assumption in ECOLEAD is that a substantial impact in materialising networked collaborative business ecosystems requires holistic approach. Area's complexity and the multiple inter-dependencies among the involved business entities, social actors, and technologies, substantial breakthroughs cannot be achieved with incremental innovation in isolated areas. On the other hand, project plans must remain manageable. Thus ECOLEAD addresses the most fundamental and inter-related focus areas, which form the basis for dynamic and sustainable networked organizations: the VO Breeding Environments, Dynamic Virtual Organizations and Professional Virtual Communities. In addition to these three vertical focus areas, the holistic approach is reinforced and sustained on two horizontal areas: the theoretical foundation for collaborative networks and the horizontal ICT infrastructure. The horizontal activities support and affect all three vertical focus areas. The theoretical foundation shall provide the basis for technology-independent understanding of the area and its phenomena. The existence of an invisible, low-cost ICT infrastructure is a pre-condition for the establishment of truly dynamic collaborative networks.. , Situação: Concluído; Natureza: Pesquisa. , Integrantes: Joao Rosas - Coordenador / Luis Camarinha-Matos - Integrante., Financiador(es): European Commission - Auxílio financeiro.

AAL4ALL, Descrição: AAL4ALL - Ambient Assisted Living for All. The goal of the AAL4ALL project is the mobilization of an industrial ecosystem of products and services in the scope of Ambient Assisted Living (AAL), focused on the definition of specific standards. Only by assuring interoperability between products and services is the mitigation of investment risk possible in this emerging area and thus create a better offer of products and services. The project comprises 5 work packages that should address the challenges mentioned previously in an integrated way, representing a total investment of 8.5 million . The work packages were defined following a market-oriented rationale taking into account the specificities of products and services being developed to the users. Therefore, WP2, WP3, and WP4 were created with the goal of segmenting the products into 3 different areas: (1) user services; (2) logistics and ICT services; (3) providers of primary care services. WP1 will be the aggregator of all these stakeholders and will define and validate the global architecture of the AAL4ALL ecosystem. In WP5 a process of certification will be elaborated as well as perform a set of tests that should assure interoperability between the different products and services. http://www.fraunhofer.pt/en/fraunhofer_aicos/projects/industry_contractresearch/aal4all_.html. , Situação: Em andamento; Natureza: Desenvolvimento. , Integrantes: Joao Rosas - Coordenador / Luis Camarinha-Matos - Integrante., Financiador(es): Quadro de Referência Estratégico Nacional - Auxílio financeiro.
