Hans Brandon Twitchell

O violoncelista e gambista Hans Twitchell atua em quatro continentes como solista e camerista, expondo uma variedade de estilos. Destaca-se por suas interpretações tanto de obras pós-modernas quanto de barrocas. Foi convidado do Emerson String Quartet, é um integrante fundador do versátil conjunto de câmara norte-americano Avery Ensemble (vejam www.averyensemble.org), e foi premiado por sua apresentação com Adriana Jarvis (vejam jarvistwitchellduo.com ) no Concurso Internacional de Piano Liszt - Garrison em Baltimore, nos E.U.A. em 2011 ? Divisão de Artistas Colaboradores. Foi gravado pelos selos New England Viola da Gamba Society, CRI, Zephyr, Ablaze e Navona Records. Entre suas atividades recentes destacam-se a estreia sul-americana da Segunda Sonata para Violoncelo e Piano de Alfred Schnittke, em Porto Alegre com Adriana Jarvis, o lançamento de um disco novo de Avery Ensemble, Verklarte Nacht, Op. 4 de Shoenberg, com Avery Ensemble em Hartford, EUA, e seu concerto em Hamburgo, Alemanha com o pianista Stepan Simonian. Ele é Doutor em violoncelo pela University of Connecticut.
