John Lavis
Graduado em Medicina (1989) e bacharel em Ciências da Vida pela Queen's University (1989), mestre em Health Planning and Financing pela London School of Economics and Political Science (1992) e doutor pela Harvard University (1997). Atualmente é professor titular da McMaster e diretor da Cátedra canadense de Tradução do Conhecimento, da McMaster Health Forum e co-director da Centro Colaborador da OMS em Políticas Informadas por Evidência. Possui extensa experiência em pesquisa internacional em países de alta, média e baixa renda. Área de interesse de pesquisa: uso de evidência científica na formulação de políticas e na gestão de saúde.
