Study of genotype x environmental interaction in Angus and Hereford breeds in Brazil and in USA and estimates of genetic parameter of purebred and croosbreed populations., Descrição: TITLE: Study of genotype x environmental interaction in Angus and Hereford breeds in Brazil and in USA and estimates of genetic parameter of purebred and croosbreed populations. Prof. Dr. Júlio César de Souza - Paraná University - Brazil OBJECTIVES: The objectives of this study are: 1. To improve the knowledge of Professor Dr. Júlio César de Souza in statistics and Animal Science; 2. To evaluate genotype x environmental interactions for weaning weight of progenies sire by the same bulls, in the same period, in Brazil and in the United States; 3. To acquire knowledge and learn about new methodologies for estimation of genetics parameter and expectation of breeding value of purebred and crossbred animals; 4. To transfer information and new technologies to classmates of Paraná University, to other Brazilian universities and to the general community. 5. To promote interaction between both universities with possibilities of visiting research of American Professor and Classmates here in Brazil and Brazilian Professor and Classmates in the USA. GOALS: 1. I propose discussion and resolution of exercises of the book "Biostatistics for animal science"and to write a teacher's manual of statistics for teaching purposes in my lectures in Brazil. 2. To write two papers related to genotype x environmetal effects; 3. To write one paper about gentics trends; 4. To write one paper about estimates of genetic parameter for weaning weight of crossbreed animals.
