Georgy Mitrofanov

Possui BSc em Geofísica pela Novosibirsk State University (NSU), Akademgorodok, Novosibirsk, Rússia, em 1972, PhD em Física-Matemática em 1984 e DSc em Geologia e Geofísica em 2016, ambos pela NSU. Além disso, recebeu o título Livre-Docência pela NSU em 1989. É professor-titular do Departamento de Geologia e Geofísica da NSU e o Chefe do Laboratório de Problemas Diretos e Inversos da Sísmica, Trofimuk Institute of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics (IPGG) of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS) em 1989-2006; consultor científico das companias Yukos, Gasprom, Surgutneftegaz, Lukoil, Novotek, Rússia, Norsk Hydro e PSS-Geo AS, Noruega, e CNPC, China. Tem experiência na área de Geociências, com ênfase em Geofísica Aplicada e Geo-Informática. Em anos 2006-2013 foi professor-visitante titular da Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro. Atualmente é pesquisador sênior deu IPGG e coordenador de pesquisas em exploração sísmica da SB RAS, professor-titular da NSU e da Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU), Novosibirsk, Rússia; membro do Comitê de assessoramento da Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) e do Conselho Editorial da Revista "Seismic Technologies", Russia.
