Timothy Joseph Finan

Prof. Tim possui doutorado em Cultural Anthropology - University of Arizona (1981). Tem trabalhado no Nordeste brasileiro por mais de 40 anos, principalmente no Estado do Ceará. As áreas de enfoque inclui desenvolvimento, políticas públicas, interrelacionamento meio-ambiente--sociedade, segurança alimentar, governança e adaptação à mudança climática.Trabalha também em múltiplos paises africanas, em Bangladesh e outros paises asiáticos, América Latina, e Europa. Na universidade ele ensina disciplinas ao nível de graduação e pós-graduação em desenvolvimento, mudança global e metodologia de pesquisa. Tem 35 anos de carreira na Universidade de Arizona. Aos 21 anos foi morar no Ceará em Guaraciaba do Norte e hoje ele tem título de cidadão honorário daquele município e da cidade de Fortaleza.
