Gero Arthur Hubertus Thilo Freiherr von Gersdorff

Possui doutorado em Fisica Teorica - Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2004). Trabalho no campo de física de altas energias, em particular fenomenologia de partículas elementares em teorias além do modelo padrão. O meu primeiro objetivo é entender o mecanismo da quebra da simetria eletrofraca, e sua fenomenologia no experimento LHC. Antes de começar o cargo atual como professor de física na PUC-Rio, trabalhei de pesquisador na universidade de Johns Hopkins (EUA), o CERN (Suiza), a École Polytechnique (França) e o IFT / ICTP SAIFR em São Paulo.
