Michael Benjamin Silvers

Possui graduação em Music - Bates College (2004), mestrado em Musicology - University of Arizona (2007) e doutorado em Ethnomusicology - University of California, Los Angeles (2012). Atualmente é "assistant professor" (parecido com professor adjunto no Brasil) na Universidade de Illinois--Urbana-Champaign, EUA. Tem experiência na área de Artes, com ênfase em ETNOMUSICOLOGIA, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: antropologia, etnografia, ruralismo, migração urbana, antropologia de som, ecologia acustica, semiotica, pertencimento, música e o meio ambiente, ecocriticismo, e movimentos musicais no Ceará.
