Christine Marie Lucas

possui graduação em Biologia com um "Minor" em antropologia pelo Vassar College (2001) e doutorado em Ecologia e Conservação pela University of Florida (2011). Tem experiência na área de Ecologia, com ênfase em Ecologia das Plantas, Ecologia de Comunidades, Ecologia e Manejo de Planícies de Inundação, Ecologia Aplicada, e Pesquisa Participativa. Seu tese de doutorado se tratou da dinâmica de sucessão e sequestro de carbono das florestas inundadas e regeneração de plântulas em várzea tropical da região de Santarém-PA, localizado no Baixo Amazonas, Brasil. Actualmente esta iniciando um post-doc para estudar as padrões de produtividade das florestas de galeria com o Grupo de Biodiversidade e Conservação no Instituto de Ecologia e Ciências Ambientais da Universidade da Republica do Uruguai.
