Krista Lillemets

É pesquisadora de pós-doutorado do Mecila: Centro Internacional de Estudos Avançados em Ciências Humanas e Sociais Maria Sibylla Merian Conviviality-Inequality in Latin America. Possui doutorado em Sociologia pela Freie Universität Berlin, mestrado em International Environmental Science pela Lund University e graduação em Economia e Administracao pela Estonian Business School. Em 2007, cursou planejamento urbano e regional no curso de pós-graduação do IPPUR-UFRJ (Instituto de Pesquisa e Planejamento Urbano e Regional da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - interrompido). Foi pesquisadora visitante de doutorado na Universidade de São Paulo (2014) e professora visitante na Universidade de Tallinn (2008-2009). Áreas de interesse: Teoria Sociológica, Sociologia Histórica, Sociologia do Conhecimento, Teoria do Sul, Marxismo, Teoria Crítica do Capitalismo, Trabalho e Capitalismo, Trabalho Não Remunerado/Coercitivo, Historiografia da Escravidão, Teoria Social e Econômica Brasileira. Sua pesquisa se concentra em repensar criticamente o conceito de trabalho hegemônico nas ciências sociais do ponto de vista do trabalho não-livre/coercitivo/não-pago no capitalismo histórico e contemporâneo, sob a perspectiva das teorias do sul global. Transnational inequalities: theory and methodology, Descrição: The aim of this research is to study macro-sociological and historico-comparative approaches to social inequalities. Especially these approaches that explicitly deal with the entangled character of social transformation processes in different world regions, and that highlight both connections and disconnections, junctures and disjunctures in global configurations of social inequalities have to be critically re-read . Additionally, the focus will be on creatively re-examining works from area and regional studies regarding their potential contribution to research on global interdependencies.
