Formado em Bioquímica pela Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Espanha) e doutarado em Biologia Molecular pela Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Espanha) baixo a supervisao das professoras Jorgina Satrústegui e Araceli Del Arco. Fez pós-doutorado no laboratório da professora Alicia Kowaltowski, no Instituto de Química da Universidade de Sao Paulo. Atualmente trabalha como jornalista e divulgador científico.
