Bibin Mathew Cherian

Graduou-se em Química Industrial, Química e Matemática pela Universidade de Kerala, India (2002), Mestrado em Química Analítica pela Universidade de Kerala, India (2004) e doutorado em Química pela Universidade de Kalasalingam, India (2011). Tem experiência em Engenharia de Materiais e Engenharia Química, com ênfase em materiais não metálicos, principalmente compósitos de fibras naturais, compósitos totalmente biodegradáveis, bionano compósitos. Experiente na síntese de nanofibras de fibras naturais por processo de explosão a vapor, em modificações químicas de várias micro e nanofibras naturais. Dedica especial atenção à produção de nanocompósitos de celulose a base de polímeros naturais e investiga a sua aplicabilidade para uso biomédico. Desenvolveu um novo processo de síntese de celulose de nanofibras de fibras naturais por explosão a vapor. É membro da Sociedade Americana de Nano e Sociedade Americana de Química. Faz parte do corpo editorial das revista International Journal of Polymer Science.
