  GAPAM SENTINELA : Guiana - Amapá - Amazonas - Malária: Posto sentinela transfronteiriço de observatório brasileiro de clima e saúde, Descrição: A área transfronteiriça entre a Guiana Francesa e o Brasil (ZTGA) passa por situações sintomáticas e críticas, encontradas em fronteiras internacionais da Amazônia brasileira, principalmente no que diz respeito à malária. Embora o número de casos esteja diminuindo na região (chegando a menos de 900 casos/ ano na Guiana desde 2012 e 2.838 casos em 2013, no município de Oiapoque), a situação permanece instável, varia significativamente no espaço e no tempo, e as ocorrências anuais continuam particularmente elevadas (55,2 e 92,5? em 2013, respectivamente nos municípios do centro e do leste da Guiana e no município de Oiapoque). Desde 2012, trabalhos de pesquisa em parceria permitiram o desenvolvimento de métodos e ferramentas, para gerar dados e indicadores de risco associados à malária na zona fronteiriça (www.ose-guyamapa.org). Eles também destacaram a necessidade de melhor integração no processo envolvendo múltiplos fatores e o acompanhamento a longo prazo da doença e de seus determinantes. Assim, os objetivos gerais do projeto GAPAM-Sentinela são contribuir para a criação de um posto sentinela transfronteiriço do observatório brasileiro do clima e da saúde (www.climasaude.icict.fiocruz.br), dedicado à malária na ZTGA e estudar a transposição de metodologias, ferramentas e modelos na tríplice fronteira Brasil-Colômbia-Peru. Três áreas de investigação serão consideradas: produção de referenciais cartográficos, de camadas sócio-demográficos e ambientais, incluindo geomática, sensoriamento remoto e investigações de campo; desenvolvimento de métodos de representação, partilha e integração de dados e informações heterogêneas e multidisciplinares, através de modelos de dados e meta-dados e formalização dos conhecimentos por meio de ontologias; contribuição para a recolha sistemática de informação espacial visando a atualização de dados e indicadores, por meio da racionalização dos protocolos de coleta e exploração de referenciais cartográficos. Ações de desenvolvimento de capacidades nas seguintes áreas: supervisão de estudantes de mestrado e doutorado; formação de profissionais de saúde para ferramenta geomática, para análise e interpretação de dados espaciais; apoio aos enfermeiros e médicos na cotidiana coleta de dados, para padronizar dados e informações geolocalizados; apoio às equipes brasileiras para o estabelecimento de vigilância entomológica de rotina.
