Alexandre Ferro Aissa

Possui graduação em Biologia pelo Centro Universitário Barão de Mauá (2005). Mestrado em Ciências (Toxicologia) pela Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas de Ribeirão Preto - USP. Doutorado em Genética pela Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto - USP, com período sanduíche no National Center for Toxicological Research, FDA (NCTR-FDA). Pós-doutorado pela FCFRP-USP sobre o uso de esferóides multicelulares tumorais para estudos de modificações epigenéticas associadas com a via NFKB. Pós-doutorando na Universidade de Illinois em Chicago utilizando single cell RNAseq para investigar resistência a fármacos antitumorais. Foi Professor Visitante na Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG) no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Biociências Aplicadas à Saúde vinculado ao Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas (ICB). Atualmente é Professor Adjunto da Disciplina de Genética do Departamento de Morfologia e Genética da Escola Paulista de Medicina da UNIFESP.

Interação gene-dieta em camundongos suplementados com metionina nos períodos fetal e pós-natal: estudos de instabilidade genômica, metilação e expressão de genes relacionados com doenças cardiovasculares, Descrição: A metionina obtida da dieta é um dos principais doadores do grupamento metil para o processo de metilação. Durante o processo reprodutivo o genoma de mamíferos sofre uma profunda reprogramação dos padrões de metilação nas células germinativas e nos primeiros momentos pré-implantação do embrião. Problemas nos mecanismos de metilação durante o período embrionário podem favorecer o aparecimento de doenças durante toda a vida do indivíduo.
