Holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF, 1998), an M.Sc. degree in Computer Graphics from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (COPPE/UFRJ, 2001), and a PhD degree in Physics from the Universiteit Antwerpen, Belgium, (2010), in the field of medical image processing. Postdoc in the field of image guided rediation therapy at the Centre Léon Bérard, Lyon, France (2011-2013). Currently working as a researcher at EMC Computer Systems.
