Paulo Petry

Possui graduação em Oceanologia pela Fundação Universidade do Rio Grande (1983), mestrado em Biologia de Água Doce e Pesca Interior pelo Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (1989) e doutorado em Fisheries and Wildlife - Oregon State University (2000). Tem experiência na área de Ecologia, com ênfase em Ecologia de Ecossistemas, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: amazonia, peixes de água doce da America do Sul, rio negro, ecologia de varzea e conservação de água doce. Atualmente ocupa o cargo de coordenador científico regional em água doce para o Programa de conservação da America Latina da The Nature Conservancy
