  ASSIGNMENT 1: Influence of the Portuguese for Brazilians studying Spanish, Descrição: This study analyzes the influence of the mother tongue of Brazilians in the process of learning Spanish, also the difficulties and errors of writing and pronunciation that can be attributed to the similarity of both languages. The fact that Portuguese and Spanish come from the Latin and the Romance languages which are more alike, can make students not have much concern when deciding to study this language due to the false belief that it will be easy. Whether in education, politics or general affairs errors can persist if brazilian students do not lend better attention to the change of structure of these languages. These differences cause difficulties in learning Spanish with relation to aspects of phonological, spelling and grammar.   Language research based on linguistic data: the analysis of NT data, Descrição: This study will outline an analysis of the natural translation cases of two Spanish children from the file of FerFuLice corpus in order to demonstrate the particular differences found between both children. One of the children talk more than the other and thus, improves his bilingual skills. There are two children Leo and the investigators (Raquel, Esther, Susana and Todd).   The Impact of a Translation Strategy in Communication, Descrição: The theme of translation and its practical applications have been studied and analyzed to a good extent in recent practice. Several fields may be connected with this subject, such as globalization international markets which have been explored. A good case in practice can be seen in the field of communication. Firstly, the study will attempt to show the concepts of advertising, and its importance in communication and a general definition of translation. Secondly, a quick look at how Brazilian tourism is being circulated to other countries and advertisements translated into English language highlights the importance and influence of the local culture and the communication strategies with the purpose of spreading tourism.   Reflection on genres and its validity as part of a press release, Descrição: Nowadays we cannot deny that language in society is essential, however there are many discourses to express in different situational contexts by different discursive communities, and each with its own communicative purposes. This becomes strategically effective when it is used correctly to reach a target audience and serve their desires. This shows us that man always sees through linguistic systems, wich represent the world around him. The propose of this study which based on the methods of Discourse Analysis, Genre Analysis, will also include an analysis of an example of a press release related to the study of hybrid genre.
