Howard William Pearson

Possui graduação em Botanico- Universidade de Londres (1967) e doutorado em Microbiologia do Meio Ambiente - Universidade de Londres (1971). Era Professor da Universidade de Londres (Goldsmiths College, 1970-1973), da Universidade de Liverpool (1973- 2001) e CNPq Professor visitante na Universidade do Rio Grande do Norte (2002-2005). CNPq Professor (DCR nivel A) do Dept Química, na área de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental, da Universidade Estadual Da Paraiba (2007-2010). Professor Visitante do Depto. Engenharia Sanitaria e Ambiental da UEPB (2010-2014). Tem experiência na área de microbiologia, com ênfase em algologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: biologia de lagoas de estabilização, aspectos bioquímicas de cianobacterias e microalgas, bioreatores de algas imobilizados, sistemas de tratamento de esgoto e reuso de aguas residuarias tratadas para comunidades difusas. Tem mais do que 60 publicações em jornais internacionais e 8 livros/edições publicadas.
