    Medidas de /neutrinos em Usinas Niucleares, Descrição: Recentes medidas de neutrinos demostram que estas partículas têm massa e ângulos de mistura. Estas descobertas, além de terem consequências importantes em outros campos da ciência como a Astrofísica e a Cosmologia, abrem a possibilidade de novas medidas de precisão das propriedades dos neutrinos, em particular do ângulo de mistura Theta_1-3. O projeto de pesquisa aqui apresentado propõe a participação da UFABC nas colaborações nacionais e internacionais de Angra e Double-Chooz que visam medir Theta_1-3 em usinas nucleares e aplicar as técnicas desenvolvidas para este tipo de pesquisa em um programa de salvaguarda que ajudaria a garantir a não proliferação de armas nucleares.. , Situação: Concluído; Natureza: Pesquisa. , Integrantes: Pietro Chimenti - Coordenador.

    Neutrinos Angra, Descrição: Reatores nucleares são uma intensa fonte de antineutrinos e a potência térmica liberada no processo de fissão dos elementos combustíveis é diretamente relacionada com o fluxo emitido de antineutrinos.
