Adelino de Aguiar Coelho

Possui graduação em Física pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1986), mestrado em Física pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1992) e doutorado em Física pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1997). Atualmente é profissional de pesquisa da Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Tem experiência na área de Física, com ênfase em Materiais Magnéticos e Propriedades Magnéticas, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: materiais magnéticos, propriedades magnéticas, efeito magnetocalórico, ferro e suas ligas e diagrama de fases.

Projetos de pesquisa

2005 - 2008

Protótipo de Refrigerador à Base do Efeito Magnetocalórico Para Trabalho ao Redor da Temperatura Ambiente, Descrição: O presente projeto teve como objetivo a construção de um refrigerador utilizando o efeito magnetocalórico. Nosso grupo de pesquisa vem estudando estes materiais desde 2003, com bons resultados acadêmicos. A aplicação do efeito na construção de um refrigerador tornou-se possível graças ao auxilio do CNPq. Neste projeto optamos pela utilização de gadolínio como regenerador, iniciamos com a obtenção do gadolínio na forma adequada ao projeto, no caso pinos de 1 mm de espessura espaçados de 0,3 mm. Diversos métodos foram empregados na tentativa de obtenção dos fios, o que prevaleceu foi o corte por eletro-erosão. Tomamos o cuidado de caracterizar magneticamente o gadolínio após cada etapa do processo, para garantir sua qualidade. Com os elementos regeneradores preparados, iniciamos o processo de construção do refrigerador, uma roda de PVC foi usinada, nela foram feitas seis cavidades para conter os regeneradores e furos para possibilitar o circuito de fluido, álcool etílico PA, através de suas cavidades. Em torno da roda foram usinados dentes para utilização de correia sincronizada, que transmite a rotação de um motor de passo controlado por um computador. U sistema de aquisição de dados de temperatura foi adaptado aos pontos principais do circuito. A montagem foi posicionada no interior de um eletroímã de maneira que, ao girar, as cavidades da roda passem por dentro do pólo do eletroímã que pode gerar um campo magnético de 2,3 T. Após exaustivos testes e readaptações do projeto, conseguimos uma diferença de temperatura de 11 oC, entre a cavidade quente e a cavidade fria do refrigerador.
