Judit Kriszta Szabo

Sua linha de pesquisa atual foca a conservação de aves ameaçadas. Possui mestrado em Ciências Biológicas com ênfase em Ecologia teórica na University of Szeged (1999) e doutorado em Toxicologia Ambiental na Texas Tech University (2005). Durante seu primeiro pós-doutorado trabalhou com o efeito de pesticidas sobre uma espécie ameaçada de ave na Austrália. O segundo pós-doutorado enfocou no desenvolvimento de métodos novos para detectar mudanças em tendências populacionais baseado em ciência cidadã. Em sua ultima experiência de pós-doutorado analisou dados de aves da Austrália em nível de subespécies, seguindo as regras da IUCN para escrever o Livro Vermelho. Depois, teve experiência de cinco anos no setor não governamental e intergovernamental na Ásia, África e Europa. Em 2018-2022 foi professora visitante da Universidade Federal da Bahia no departamento de Diversidade Animal e desde 2025 e professora visitante na Ecologia.
