Asrat Mekonnen Belachew

I earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Wollega university, Ethiopia in 2009, master's degrees in Applied mathematics from Mekelle university, Ethiopia in 2011 and Structured Masters Degree in Mathematical Sciences from African institute for Mathematical Science, Cameroon (AIMS-Cameroon) in 2015. Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate, under Prof.Tiago Pereira da Silva, at the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science (ICMC), University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. My Ph.D. project is on the epidemic spreading model with cities connectivity. Before my Ph.D. study, I served as a lecturer, and community service team leader at the Department of Mathematics at Ambo University, Ethiopia. My main research interests are mathematical modelling of infectious disease, dynamics in complex networks and linear and non- linear dynamical system. I often use python when the need arises.
