  Impactos da eletrificação no Rincão do 28, Área de Proteção Ambiental do Rio Ibirapuitã, Descrição: O projeto analisa as mudanças na vida de produtores familiares pecuários depois do acesso à energia elétrica através do Programa Governamental Luz para Todos. A pesquisa foi realizada na região do Rincão do 28, na Área de Proteção Ambiental do Rio Ibirapuitã, no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. O acesso à energia elétrica moderna considera-se um elemento fundamental para o desenvolvimento humano tendo em vista não somente a questão do fomento da atividade produtiva e da renda, mas sobretudo, em face dos serviços gerados pela energia elétrica que realmente conduzem a uma melhoria do bem-estar.   Estrategias de intervención para el Desarrollo Rural, Descrição: El poblado rural Rincón del Colorado se ubica a 40 kilómetros de Montevideo y está rodeado por arroyos, el Rio Santa Lucía y sus humedales; área que esta en proceso de ingresar al Sistema Nacional de Áreas Protegidas del Uruguay (SNAP) (SNAP, 2011). El presente caso de estudio tiene como objetivo de determinar el conocimiento y las diferentes perspectivas de los pobladores sobre la futura área protegida Humedales del Santa Lucía , como asimismo identificar posibles tensiones y conflictos en relación con la misma.   Copper and other heavy metal pollution in the vineyard soils near Zurich (ZH), Descrição: Most vineyard areas of Switzerland are polluted with heavy metals due to decades of applications of copper-containing pesticides and in some cases also due to the use of sewage sludge compost. Excessive heavy metal contents may affect soil fertility and lead to restrictions and remedial measures to protect human beings, animals and plants. In cooperation with the Bureau for Soil Protection of the Canton of Zurich (FaBo) three different plots were investigated: a mixed tract of land consisting of pasture and orchard (partially a former vineyard), and two vineyards, one being approximately 40 years and the other one at least 140 years old. The aim of this study was to obtain information about the soil copper distribution in terms of both topsoil and subsoil layers. In addition, the reliability of different analytical methods including portable XRF technology was investigated. For the estimation of copper distribution in the subsoil, samples were taken with a hand auger and measured directly in the field with a mobile XRF Analyzer (Niton XL3t 600) at depths of 5, 15, 30, 45 and 55 cm depth, respectively. To determine the heavy metal contents, five soil samples were taken at each site (Standort) and combined to mixed samples.   The protective and curative efficacy of six fungicides towards powdery mildew in barley, Descrição: Fungicides are a group of pesticides used against fungal pathogens. In Denmark fungicides account for 20%, in some other countries for at least 40-50 % of the total volume of pesticides used in agriculture.The overall aim of the project was to test different fungicides in their curative and preventive efficacy against the fungal pathogen Blumeria graminis f. sp .Hordei causing the disease powdery mildew. Powdery mildew is a very common disease in different crops all over the world and can be caused by varies pathogens. In total, six different fungicides with different physical and chemical properties and therefore different mode of actions were tested.   Mixture toxicity, Descrição: Pesticides are often purposely used as mixtures. The joint effect of adjuvants or several pesticides should allow to use a smaller amount of active ingredients to minimize the risk of resistant genotypes. Also, most pesticides are usually found mixed in the environment. However, the ecotoxicology risk assessment is normally based on data gained of single compounds effects. There are two general concepts to assess the joint effect of several ingredients; the Concentration Additions Concept ((CA), also called Additive Dose Model (ADM)) and the model of Independent Action ((IA), also called Response Multiplication). The CA considers that all used active ingredients act as a dilution while having the same molecular site of action. Whereas the AI-concept takes the independence in time and space of every pesticide into account. The aim of this experiment was to evaluate the effect of the mixture of the two pesticides Mesotrion and Terbuthylazin. Different mixture rations on several effect-levels were used.   Pulse Effects of Pesticides, Descrição: High pesticide concentrations in aquatic environment are normally only shortly present as they are being diluted very fast by adsorbing particles. They can be found in aquatic systems due to surface run-off, soil penetration to ground water, spray drifts, accidentally induction or unadjusted handling. Toxicity data used for pesticide registration are normally based on constant pesticide concentrations. The aim of this experiment was to find out the reactions of the water organism Daphnia magna to a constant and an acute exposure to different dilutions of the insecticide Malathion. Therefore 1-3 days old off-springs of D. magna were used, which represent the most responsive species to environmental changes and can thus be applied as indicator species for the state of aquatic ecosystem.   Earthworm Avoidance Test, Descrição: Earthworms are an important species to the soil biota with beneficial functions to their ecosystem as well as to the productivity in today s crop production. Aeration, soil mixing and breakdown of organic substances are amongst the primary functions with which earthworms support and maintain their soil environment. Crop protection agents applied today pose a potential threat to the vitality and behavioral patterns of earthworms, thus jeopardizing the soil fauna s integrity. Carbendazim, a systemic fungicide with protective and curative action inhibits the beta-tubulin synthesis in a multitude of different targeted fungi. However, when applied in sufficient concentrations environmental implications can be observed. Here in this experiment the association of carbendazim and earthworm responsiveness in terms of a contaminant avoidance test is investigated.   Quantitativer Nachweis von Nitrat, Ammonium, Gesamtphosphat und CSB in verschiedenen Wasserproben mittels dem Dr. Lange-Verfahren, Descrição: Ziel der Laborübung war, unterschiedliche Wasserproben mittels transportabler und somit zum Feldeinsatz tauglichen Multisonde 'WTW 350i ', die Leitfähigkeit, pH, Temperatur als auch Sauerstoffgehalt zu bestimmen. In einem weiteren Schritt wurden die Proben quantitativ auf Stoffe wie Nitrat, Ammonium, Phosphor sowie den Summenparameter CSB (Chemischer Sauerstoff Bedarf) getestet.
