The Peru Cocoa Alliance integrates 23,000 small-scale agricultural entrepreneurs into inclusive, sustainable value chains that will facilitate profitable, licit sources of income to prevent a return to coca production in the Peruvian regions of Huánuco, Ucayali, and San Martín, while also increasing rural standards of living. Within the Peru Cocoa Alliance I formulated and implemented a gender strategy for the San Martin region and delivered farmer trainings about gender equity. I was involved in quality control of cocoa and plantain genetic propagation material and conducted a supply assessment of cocoa genetic propagation material. I developed and wrote the "fine flavoured cocoa clones field guide" for technical field staff. With Armajaro I assisted and led cocoa purchases from cooperatives and associations and drafted commercial purchase agreements.

Conducted field and lab work in four projects for three research groups (Group of Crop Science, Group of Grassland Science and Group of Sustainable Agroecosystems). Research topics included remote sensing of vegetation, soil science and forest ecosystems.

Member of the managing board in an international student driven NGO. The role enabled me to work within a multicultural team. I had responsibility over the Exchange Program, which fosters students to do internships abroad. I gained experience in organizing and coordinating youth events, such as conferences, round-tables and summits. I monitored and evaluated the IAAS Exchange Program and supervised the work of the National Exchange Coordinators in 47 countries. Further I supported and advised new committees building up their Exchange Program and implemented successfully a new Invoice Calculation System. I was the main responsible in formulating the 3-year IAAS strategy, which got accepted at the general assembly. Further I wrote several guidelines for internal use to facilitate standardisation and overlap.

Assisted the conventional breeding of tomato, eggplant, pumpkin, bottle gourd, chilli and okra plants. Handled the emasculation and pollination of flowers by hand. Gained knowledge of different governmental and non-governmental development projects in Bangladesh due to several field visits with the Rural Development Academy and different NGO s.
