Possui graduação em Medicina Veterinária pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (1999), mestrado em Nutrition and Animal Science - North Carolina State University (2002) e doutorado em Nutrition and Animal Science - North Carolina State University (2005). Entre 2006 a 2009, foi Professor Assistente - Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences, Orlando, FL, Estados Unidos. Atualmente é Professor de Nutrição, Metabolismo e Avicultura na Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia - Brasil. Tem experiência na área de Veterinária e Zootecnia, com ênfase em Produção e Nutrição de aves, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: nutrição, metabolismo, manejo, biosegurança de aves, frangos de corte, perus, biologia molecular e pesquisa basica e aplicada translacional.
