Bacharel (2009) e mestre (2012) em física pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, doutora em ciências naturais pela Universidade de Freiburg (2017). Tem experiência na área de física experimental, com ênfase na análise e caracterização de materiais (alimentos, materiais biológicos, pigmentos, pinturas murais) através das técnicas PIXE, RBS, XRF, Espectroscopia Raman e CT.

    3D characterization of mechanical metamaterials through in-situ nanoCT, Descrição: Mechanical metamaterials have been produced and studied in order to understand their properties. However, the studies are currently limited to the observation of events happening in the surface of these materials. Three-dimensional nano computed tomography (nanoCT) with in-situ (time-lapsed) mechanical tests (compression, indentation and tension) will be used to study their interior structure, the local mechanical response and the consequence of inhomogeneities in the structure. Through in-situ nanoCT using the Zeiss Xradia Ultra 810 X-ray microscope, reaching a resolution of 50 nm and volumes of hundreds of um³, we will analyse the 3D behavior of polymer-based mechanical metamaterial architectures during mechanical tests. The influence of irregularities, inhomogeneities, defects and different architectures on the mechanical properties of metamaterials will be investigated and the robustness or defect-tolerance of the metamaterial structures will be assessed.     Caracterização de amostras orgânicas e inorgânicas em estudo de alimentos através de técnicas de feixes de íons, Projeto certificado pelo(a) coordenador(a) Johnny Ferraz Dias em 12/07/2019., Descrição: A análise da composição elementar de alimentos possibilita a obtenção de informações referentes à proveniência, autenticidade, qualidade, conservação e/ou contaminação do produto que chega ao consumidor. Para tal, técnicas de feixes de íons nos fornecem informações sobre elementos leves e abundantes (C, O, N) (Rutherford Backscattering Spectrometry - RBS) e elementos com Z ≥ 11 (Na) e em concentrações macro, micro e traço (Particle-Induced X-ray Emission - PIXE) presentes nas amostras biológicas. Dois produtos populares na alimentação brasileira foram selecionados para o estudo: café moído e extrato de tomate. Neste contexto, o objetivo do trabalho é determinar a concentração elementar do café moído e do extrato de tomate em diferentes condições, partindo da análise dos produtos de diferentes marcas, no Laboratório de Implantação Iônica (UFRGS). O café será analisado em duas etapas: determinar a concentração elementar no pó de café das diferentes marcas; e verificar alterações da concentração elementar durante a preparação da bebida através do método café coado. Para o extrato de tomate diferentes parâmetros serão investigados: marca, tipo de embalagem (copo de vidro, lata e Tetrapak®) e tempo de armazenamento. Além disso, a concentração elementar das embalagens será investigada. PIXE e RBS requerem amostras desidratadas, de forma que as amostras líquidas e pastosas passarão por tratamento térmico conforme metodologia estabelecida. A fim de verificar a metodologia de preparação de amostras, a concentração elementar de extrato de tomate será determinada complementarmente com TXRF (Total Reflection X-ray Fluorescence) no ANKA Synchrotron Radiation Facility (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology - Alemanha).
