Luis Gustavo Pereira

possui graduação em Licenciatura Em Física pela Universidade Católica de Pelotas (1984), mestrado em Física pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1989) e doutorado em Física pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1994). Atualmente é professor adjunto da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Tem experiência na área de Física, com ênfase em Materiais Magnéticos e Propriedades Magnéticas, atuado principalmente nos seguintes temas: filmes finos, magnetoresistência, anisotropia magnética, válvula de spin, transferência de spin e spintrônica em nanopilares.Participou da colaboração IF/UFRGS - ALICE/CERN, em especial do desenvolvimento do Rastreador Frontal de Múons do detector ALICE/LHC (A Large Ion Collider Experiment/Large Hadron Collider) do CERN. Atualmete desenvolve pesquisa na área de física de particulas de altas enegias e Simulações Computacionais Aplicadas a Radiologia via Geant4.
