Education: Mechanical Engineer graduated at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2002), Master in Mechanical Engineering at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2003) and Doctor in Mechanical and Systems Engineering - Kobe University (2009).
Currently work: Assistant Professor at the Insitute of Industrial Science of The University of Tokyo in Japan.
Research topics: thermal engineering, thermodynamics and numerical methods, energy systems simulation, exergy analysis, CO2 emissions reduction, Insolation and Renewable Energy Systems' power forecasting, Machine learning applications.
Current research: forecasts of insolation and photovoltaic systems power generation and issues related with integration of renewables in power grids.
